About Us

Alpine Automotive was established in Estes Park, CO in 1984 by my father, Guy Meulener.  He moved here from California looking for a new and better opportunity for his family.  Turning wrenches since he was 16, dad started his first garage at the early age of 19 with his father.  After owning and running many different garages and service stations in California, he decided to pack up his family and move to Colorado.  He started at what is now the Schrader’s Country Store, but back then it was a full service gas station and repair shop.  In 1990, he relocated the current building on the west end of town, downsizing to just vehicle repairs.  He is now retired and enjoying spending more time with his wife and grandkids.

I stated working with my father at the young age of 13, helping him out during the summer months while school was out, and occasionally after school as well.  After graduating high school, I moved away to college in Fort Collins to attend CSU.  I majored in Business and Economics, all the while keeping up on the current automotive techniques and practices.  I also hold ASE Certifications in several different areas to help provide better service to you.  In 2007, dad started transitioning into semi-retirement.  This is when my wife and I made the decision to move our family to Estes in January of 2008 so I could take over the daily operations of the shop.  The rest is history!

This is and always has been a family owned business run by father and now son.

We continue daily to pursue better and more efficient ways of servicing our customers, making your visit at Alpine Automotive more pleasurable!  Feel free to stop in and say hi!!
